SEPARATED BY LEAGUES. UNITED BY NBXL.
Professional basketball is divided across countries, federations, leagues, teams, and the systems that govern them.
Those structures determine where players compete, who they can play with, who they can play against, and how opportunities move across the basketball world.
Players from different leagues may occasionally cross paths through international tournaments, exhibitions, showcases, national-team competition, or All-Star events.
But those moments are usually built around teams, leagues, countries, or special events.
NBXL CHANGES THAT.
The basketball world has elite players everywhere, but they are separated by the leagues they belong to. NBXL creates one professional setting where those worlds can meet.
NBXL creates cross-league access at the individual player level.
With no import restrictions, NBXL does not limit player opportunity by nationality or traditional import-player quotas. Qualified players can enter the same NBXL player pool regardless of where they come from.
A player from one professional league can enter NBXL and play with or against a player from another professional league on the same NBXL court, under one league.
Not because their original teams are playing each other.
Not because their leagues are staging a tournament.
Not because it is an exhibition or All-Star event.
Because the individual players entered NBXL and became NBXL players.
And the opportunity is open beyond established names. A player the basketball world may have never seen before can also earn the opportunity to become an NBXL player and step onto that same court.
Because NBXL owns its teams and controls the player pool, selected players can have a choice and a voice in who they would like to play with and who they would like to compete against.
NBXL can consider those preferences while still protecting competitive balance, roster needs, team identity, and the integrity of the league.
NBXL gives the individual player the freedom to cross those lines and barriers and compete.
NBXL was also designed for the modern professional athlete — offering a shorter season, a global destination experience, worldwide exposure, and no import restrictions.

PLAYER OPPORTUNITIES
NBXL is its own independent professional basketball league, open to qualified players from anywhere.
Players may come from the highest levels of professional basketball, other leagues around the world, free agency, the college or undrafted ranks, return as existing NBXL players, or emerge as talent the basketball world has yet to discover.
No one background defines an NBXL player. Once selected, they become part of NBXL.
IRON SHARPENS IRON
NBXL is open to aspiring NBXL players from across the basketball world, but selection is earned.
Whether you are an accomplished professional, an established star, an international standout, an overlooked player, or someone the basketball world has not discovered yet, the standard is the same.
WHAT NBXL LOOKS FOR
Players are evaluated on talent, character, professionalism, preparation, teamwork, style of play, and fit within the NBXL standard.
All aspiring NBXL players must also pass the league’s conditioning and professional evaluations before earning a roster spot.
GAME OVER NAME.
At NBXL, reputation alone does not determine your value.
Every player selected into NBXL becomes an NBXL player and receives a professional player contract.
Selection earns your jersey.
Your game earns your playing time — regardless of your name, résumé, previous league, or contract value.
NBXL gives accomplished players another stage on which to compete against elite talent from across the basketball world, while giving players who have been overlooked, underrated, underexposed, or never given the same opportunities the chance to step onto that same court.

CURRENTLY UNDER CONTRACT?
A player currently under contract with another team or league may request permission from the appropriate team, league, or governing body to participate in NBXL through the “NBXL Love of the Game Exemption”.
The exemption is intended to create a pathway for eligible players who want to compete in NBXL without interfering with their existing contractual obligations.
Participation remains subject to any required approval, clearance, or release from the player’s current contractual commitments.
If approved and selected, the player enters NBXL like every other player: As an NBXL player.
Because when everyone steps onto the NBXL court, the question becomes simple:
CAN YOU PLAY?
